| thanks again everyone for the nice welcome.
I wonder how well france is supplied with Salmo wobblers? They are much cheaper than Rapala in Hungary and the Slider is very, very effective for pikes there. Did you try them here? Whats the price in your shops?

As far as i'm concerned, i must be agree with you....
French lures'fisherman is deeply involved in the growth of lures & materials high prices policy Even Rapala wich was in the years somewhat about the available top is now threatened like junk stuff by a kind of fishermen who are most much better to learn the catalogs list than merely fishing
Fashion-victims of the world unite
Nevertheless it is possible to find some salmo products but you really have to seek'em hard I found Salmo lures in some shops and they're quite not expensive, less than 10 euros each |

Well, it seems we have more in common than i thought. However the maintstream, mass fishers still think that the rapala is the best, the people who mostly do spinning and casting are following the trends and staring at japan products, from megabass to Imakatsu... Obviously you cannot buy these brands in stores so most ppl purchase them thru ebay, or webshops.
But as I said, Salmo is really popular cause of its price and its productivity. |

| Salmo is very popular in the USA and Canada, that is really an evidence of the quality and efficacy of such lures Simple, resistant and not expensive
Rapala shadrap gave me actually my biggest pike in 2008 even if the year is far to be over yet, I never doubt of its obvious interest
In the other side, i do confess a huge love to japanese lures It is really pleasant to make them swim
But i'm also mesmerized |

Hmm, I hardly found any Salmo lures on the shelves of the american stores really. The biggest stock and widest range they have is still from Rapala. However, Lucky strike, Yo-zuri made their presence more obvious according to my experience. But Cabelas and Bass-pro for sure keep Rapalas at the peak of their offering. My biggest pike came on a cheap romanian spoon. The gipo spoons are also really cheap and very effective, and my personal favourite is the Siluro. At the same time, most of the bass I caught, were with WTD lures and poppers, Heddon, Skitter walk, Skitter pop. For ASP my favourite is the Salmo Thrill, dont know if you have it here, but you should seriously consider getting one, if you are fan of Asps.

| Unfortunately asps are surroundered to the eastern part of France But such lure as effective as you say surely could be a good stuff in order to fish seabass
I found a lot of salmo products on US websites don't recall their name but with that beautiful weather ( private joke ) i might get some free time to look for more about them... |

Can only share my personal experience at the local stores, obviously webshops are different. But if you are looking for reasonable priced ones, i would advise to check for Hung or polish webstores, the shipping cost is lower and as they are part of EU now, you dont have to bother with custom costs.
